Rule Change From 1st Aug 2025: A new month, i.e., August, has started from today. The new month has brought some changes with it. If these changes are directly related to your life, then it is important for you to know about them. Many rules of UPI have changed from August 1, so the new collector rates of property have come into effect in Haryana. Apart from this, you will also get a commercial LPG cylinder cheaper from today. Free air insurance on some SBI credit cards will stop from August 11.

If you run a hotel, restaurant, etc., then there is good news for you. The price of a 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder has come down by Rs 33.50. The new rates have come into effect from today. After this reduction, the price of a 19 kg commercial cylinder in Delhi will be Rs 1,631.50. This relief will prove beneficial for hotels, restaurants, and small shopkeepers, as they use these cylinders in everyday work. However, there has been no change in the prices of 14.2 kg domestic gas cylinders used in homes.

The collector rate of property has been increased in Haryana. The collector rate will increase from 5 percent to 25 percent. Buying property in Haryana, including Gurugram, Faridabad, and Ballabhgarh, will now become expensive because more fees will have to be paid for registration. The collector rate is the minimum price of land in any district at which a real estate property can be sold to the buyer. Property registration takes place in the tehsils at this rate. The collector rate is also called the circle rate.

UPI rules changed

From August 1, UPI users will be able to check their balance from any one app only 50 times a day. If you use two different apps, then this limit will be applicable differently on each app. There will be a ban or limited access to balance checks during peak hours (10 am to 1 pm and 5 pm to 9:30 pm) so that the server load is reduced.

Balance update will be available after every payment.

Now, after every successful payment, the bank itself will tell you how much balance is left in your account through SMS or in-app notification. This will eliminate the need for shopkeepers, freelancers, and small traders to check the balance again and again.

Autopay now only in non-peak hours

Auto payments like Netflix, Amazon Prime, EMI, or SIP will now be processed only in non-peak times. Auto pay will happen before 10 am, between 1 pm and 5 pm, and after 9:30 pm. There will be no autopay transactions during peak hours.

Check the status of failed or pending transactions.
Now, if a transaction fails or is pending, its status can be checked only after at least 90 seconds. Transaction status can be checked only 3 times a day. There will be a gap of at least 45-60 seconds each time.

Free insurance on a credit card ends.
Rules will change for SBI cardholders from August, which can have a huge impact on the pockets of SBI cardholders. From August 11, SBI is going to stop the free air accident insurance cover available on many co-branded credit cards. Till now, SBI, in collaboration with Central Bank, PSB, UCO Bank, Karur Vysya Bank, Allahabad Bank, used to provide a cover of Rs 1 crore or Rs 50 lakh on some cards.
