Mukhyamantri Mahila Rojgar Yojana: The Bihar government is once again taking a significant step towards empowering women financially. The Chief Minister's Women's Employment Scheme, launched to promote self-employment in the state, has now reached its next phase. In the first phase, millions of women received initial assistance to start their businesses.

Now, the government is preparing to further support those women who are successfully running their businesses. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar himself shared the latest update related to this scheme. According to this, selected women will be given extra assistance of up to ₹2 lakh. Find out which documents will be required.

₹2 Lakhs Available Under the Chief Minister's Women's Employment Scheme

Last September, the Bihar government launched the Chief Minister's Women's Employment Scheme for women. Its aim is to make women self-reliant by providing them with financial assistance. In the first phase, one woman from every family in Bihar was given ₹10,000 to start a small business. Now, those women who have used this amount effectively and whose businesses are running successfully will receive further assistance.

The Chief Minister of Bihar has clearly stated that this amount will be given based on need. If ₹50,000 is sufficient to expand a woman's business, then only that amount will be given. The maximum limit has been set at ₹2 lakh. The decision on how much money a woman will receive will be taken only after an assessment by the administration.

Keep These Documents Ready

Women will not need to apply separately for the up to ₹2 lakh assistance in the second phase of the Chief Minister's Women's Employment Scheme. However, they will still need to keep some documents ready. These include Aadhaar card, bank passbook, records related to Jeevika (a self-help group program), and information on how the initial ₹10,000 was utilized. Basic information related to the business you have started may also be requested. The administration will use these documents and reports to determine how much assistance you will receive in the second phase.
