Women get these rights in Indian Railways, if you are traveling then you should also know.

Every day thousands of people travel by train, including women. That is why the Railway Department has made new laws to ensure the safety of women traveling on trains. These laws have been made especially keeping in mind the safety of women traveling alone in trains. So let's know about the laws applicable to women traveling in trains in this post.
Section 139 of the Indian Railway Act 1981 is applicable to ensure the safety of women traveling alone in trains. The laws made this year ensure the safety of women traveling alone in trains and women traveling with children.
Rule 1.
According to the Indian Railway Department Act, if a woman travels in a train without a ticket, the ticket examiner should not forcibly remove her from the train. Instead, she can continue her journey by paying a fine. Even if the woman says that she does not have money to pay the fine, the ticket examiner should never deboard her from the train.
Rule 2.
If a woman has to be deboarded from the train, it is necessary to have a female police officer there. Also, according to Section 162, a boy below 12 years of age is allowed to travel in the women's class with his mother. A boy older than that is not allowed to enter the women's class and if he goes inside, strict action will be taken against him.
Rule 3.
According to Section 311 of the Indian Railway Act 1989, army personnel are never allowed to enter the women's class. Similarly, in long distance travel, 6 seats should be reserved for women in the sleeper class. Also, 6 seats should be reserved for women in AC third class. This seat should be booked regardless of the age of the woman.
Rule 4.
Most importantly, CCTV cameras have been installed in trains to ensure the safety of women. Through this, they are constantly monitored. If someone harasses women in the train, you can immediately contact the complaint number. For this, you will not have to wait for the ticket inspector or police officer. Apart from this, you can also complain by mentioning the Indian Railways page and the Railway Minister's account on social media.
