Wi-Fi Tips: It often happens that when people get Wi-Fi installed in their house, people in the neighborhood also find out the password and start using it, which affects the speed of the Wi-Fi, and people are not able to use their own Wi-Fi properly. If you also have the same problem and you want no one else to have access to your Wi-Fi, then you can adopt some easy tricks so that no one else will be able to use your Wi-Fi. If someone wants to use Wi-Fi, then they will have to take permission from you.

How many devices are connected? Check this way.

First of all, you can check how many and which devices are connected to your Wi-Fi. For this, you have to go to the admin panel of the router, and there you have to go to the Connected Devices section. Here, see which devices are connected to your router. Now you can block any device that is unknown to you.

Choose a strong password like this.
If your Wi-Fi password has been leaked, change the password of your Wi-Fi router immediately. Create a strong password that has at least 12 characters, using upper-lower letters, numbers, and special symbols, such as @, #, or *. This will be a strong password that no one will be able to crack. Never choose a short password for your Wi-Fi; do not even use your mobile number or name as a password. Always think of choosing a long and non-common password.

Choose WPA3 or WPA2 security protocol
Choose the best security protocol for your Wi-Fi. Go to the router settings and use WPA3 or at least WPA2 encryption. Keep in mind, you have to avoid the old WEP protocol, as it is easily hacked.

Hide Wi-Fi SSID
The best way to hide your Wi-Fi from others is to hide the SSID. Choose the option of Hide SSID or Disable SSID Broadcast in the router settings. With this, the name of your Wi-Fi network will not be visible to others, let alone when connecting to it. If you want to connect, you can manually enter the SSID and password by going to Add Network.

Turn on MAC address filtering.

You can also remove unknown devices connected to your Wi-Fi. For this, do MAC Address Filtering in the router. This will keep only those devices connected to which you have given access. Go to the router settings and add the MAC address of your device, and block the rest.

Create a guest network
If friends or relatives come to your house and ask for the Wi-Fi password, then create a separate guest network for them. This will keep your main password safe and the password of the guest network can be changed easily. Therefore, instead of connecting people coming from outside to your Wi-Fi network, connect them to the guest network only, so that your main network remains safe.
