To facilitate the runners and participants of the Vedanta Delhi Half Marathon, the DMRC has decided to commence its services at 3:30 AM on Sunday, October 18. This special arrangement will be available on four major metro lines—the Red, Yellow, Blue, and Violet lines—to ensure that participants traveling to the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium face no inconvenience in their commute.
The DMRC has stated that from 3:30 AM to 4:15 AM, metro trains will operate at a frequency of 15 minutes, and from 4:15 AM to 6:00 AM, they will run at a frequency of 20 minutes. Thereafter, the regular Sunday schedule will come into effect.
Train operations to return to normal from 6:00 AM
It should be noted that from 6:00 AM onwards, metro services on these corridors will operate according to the standard Sunday timetable. In a post on X, the DMRC stated, "To facilitate participants of the Vedanta Delhi Half Marathon on Sunday, October 18, 2026, metro services on select lines will begin at 3:30 AM."
