BCAS regulations include Bharat Ratna recipients in this list of exempt individuals. Sachin Tendulkar was awarded the Bharat Ratna in 2014, becoming the first sportsperson to receive this highest civilian honour. Consequently, he is not required to pass through metal detectors or undergo manual frisking. However, his luggage is scanned just like that of ordinary passengers.

**The Rule Applies Beyond Just Sachin**
The exemption from pre-embarkation security checks is not limited to Sachin Tendulkar or other Bharat Ratna recipients. BCAS regulations grant this exemption to individuals holding various constitutional offices and those belonging to specific categories. These include the President, Vice President, Prime Minister, Governors, certain senior judicial officials, Union Ministers, Chief Ministers, and other designated categories.
