Everyone has traveled by train at some point in their life. Train travel is very convenient and comfortable. There are two types of coaches for traveling on a train. One reserved and one unreserved.

An unreserved coach has a general coach. Which passengers can travel by taking a normal general ticket. In this, no seat is allotted in anyone's name. Any passenger can sit wherever he finds a place.

On the other hand, if we talk about reserved coaches, then it has sleeper and AC coaches. In which, on booking, passengers are allotted a seat in the designated coach with a specific seat number. In this, you have to make a reservation before the journey.

Many times people do not get reserved tickets to go on a route. So in such a situation people resort to tatkal booking. But as soon as tatkal booking starts, all the tickets disappear within a few seconds. Why does this happen?

Actually, while booking tatkal tickets, the tickets get over quickly. Because during that time the demand for tickets is very high and the number of tickets is limited. So when many people start booking together, the tickets disappear immediately.

Overall, tatkal booking runs on first come first serve basis. If you delay in logging in, then the chances of you getting a confirmed ticket are very low. So try to login two-three minutes before tatkal starts.

Let us tell you that now a new rule is being implemented by Indian Railways for tatkal booking. In which IRCTC accounts which have Aadhaar linked will be given priority. And IRCTC tatkal booking will not open for 10 minutes for authorized agents of IRCTC.
