If important emails in Gmail keep ending up in the Spam folder, you can resolve this issue by adjusting a few simple settings. Here is an easy way to fix this problem.

Often, important emails in Gmail land in the Spam folder instead of the Inbox. This becomes particularly frustrating when emails from a trusted person or company consistently end up in Spam. If this happens even after you consider the sender trustworthy, specific Gmail settings might be the cause. By tweaking a few simple settings, you can prevent important emails from being marked as spam. Let’s look at how to fix this issue.

According to official Gmail information, this can happen if an email that landed in Spam wasn't marked as "Not Spam," if the sender isn't saved in Google Contacts, or if a proper filter hasn't been set up for them. Taking these steps can prevent future important emails from going to Spam. To start, open Gmail, go to "More" on the left-hand side, and open the Spam folder. Select the email you want to retrieve and click the "Not Spam" option at the top. Marking an email as "Not Spam" can also help ensure future messages from that sender avoid the Spam folder.

Adding the sender's email address to Google Contacts can also be helpful. Open Google Contacts on your computer and select "Create Contact." Enter the name and other details, then save it. This helps prevent emails from that sender from being sent to Spam.

You can also create a filter to protect emails from a specific sender from going to Spam. Open Gmail on your computer and select "Show search options" in the search bar. Enter the sender's email address in the "From" box and click "Create filter."

When creating the filter, check the box for "Never send it to Spam" and then click "Create filter." This instructs Gmail not to send emails from the selected sender to the Spam folder. Open the Gmail app on your Android phone, iPhone, or tablet and navigate to 'Spam' in the menu. Open the email you wish to restore. Tap 'More' in the top-right corner and select 'Report not spam'; this allows you to move the important message out of the spam folder.

Open the Contacts app on your phone and tap the 'Add' option. Enter the sender's name along with their email address or phone number, and save the contact. Please note that you need to access Gmail from a computer to create a filter; there, you can set up a filter that selects the 'Never send it to Spam' option.
