The Chief Minister Maiya Samman Yojana has become a major financial support for millions of women in Jharkhand. The monthly honorarium of ₹2,500 is transferred directly to their bank accounts, helping them with household expenses and other needs. This Holi, the government has also begun disbursing the remaining installments in many districts. The 17th and 18th installments are being sent simultaneously to many beneficiary women. Those who have already received the 17th installment are expected to receive the 18th and 19th installments simultaneously.
However, this time, some women will not receive the next installment. The government has clarified that the scheme's benefits will only be available to women who meet the prescribed criteria and have completed all the necessary procedures. Therefore, let us tell you today whose accounts will not receive the next installment of the Maiya Samman Yojana this time and how to check its status.
Which women will not receive the next installment?
First, women whose bank accounts are not linked to Aadhaar will not be able to have the Chief Minister Maiya Samman Yojana funds transferred to their accounts. In many cases, even after applications have been approved, payments are held up due to the lack of Aadhaar linkage. Furthermore, families with a tax-paying member are not eligible for the scheme. If the applicant or their husband is employed by the central or state government, local bodies, or government-aided institutions, whether on a regular contract or on a salary, they will not receive the benefits of the scheme. Retired employees who are receiving a pension are also excluded from the scheme. Women who are already receiving any other pension benefit from the Women and Child Development and Social Security Department will also not be eligible for this scheme.
Who is receiving the Maiya Samman Yojana amount?
According to the government, funds are being transferred to the accounts of beneficiaries whose applications have been approved, physical verification has been completed, and the DBT process is active. In the first phase, payments have been made to women from 12 districts: Bokaro, Gumla, Lohardaga, Jamshedpur, Jamtara, Simdega, Chatra, Pakur, and Garhwa. In many districts, the 17th, 18th, and 19th installments remain pending. These beneficiaries are being sent the 17th and 18th installments, totaling ₹5,000, together. Those whose accounts have already received the 17th installment may receive the 18th and 19th installments simultaneously.
