If you come in the economically weaker section. Your income should be up to Rs 3 lakh per annum. So you will get a subsidy of up to Rs 2.50 lakh on a 30 square meter house. On the other hand, if you come from the low income group. So your annual income should be between Rs 3 lakh to Rs 6 lakh and you will get this much on a 60 square meter house in urban areas.
On the other hand, if you belong to MIG i.e. Middle Income Group. In MIG-I, the annual income is between Rs 6 lakh to Rs 12 lakh. So you will get 4% subsidy on interest and in MIG-II, if the annual income is Rs 12-18 lakh, then you will get 3% interest subsidy.
