Mukhyamantri Mahila Rojgar Yojana: In the second phase of the Women's Employment Scheme, the government will provide significant assistance of up to Rs 2 lakh to eligible beneficiaries. However, this amount will not be given to all women.

Mukhyamantri Mahila Rojgar Yojana: The Bihar government is continuously working to empower women economically and help them start their own businesses. The Chief Minister's Women's Employment Scheme was launched with this objective. Now, the scheme has reached its second phase. In the first phase, women received an initial assistance of Rs 10,000 to start small businesses.

Now, the government is going to provide additional assistance of up to Rs 2 lakh to these women. However, this amount will not be given to every woman. Only those women who have successfully utilized the initial amount to start a business will be eligible for this larger sum. Find out which women will not receive the Rs 2 lakh.

Which women will receive Rs 2 lakh?

The government has clarified that this large sum, given as the second installment, will only be provided to selected women. Those women who started self-employment with the Rs 10,000 received in the first phase – such as tailoring, dairy farming, running a shop, food processing, handicrafts, or any other small business – and whose businesses are found to be stable and profitable after six months, will be eligible for this assistance. During the assessment, it will be checked whether the previously given amount was actually used to expand the business. If the business is doing well, a lump sum of up to Rs 2 lakh may be provided as needed.

Which women will not receive the money?

Women who did not use the Rs 10,000 received in the first phase to start a business, or whose businesses closed within six months, will not be eligible for this extra assistance. Similarly, those whose business records are not found to be satisfactory or who have not complied with the scheme's conditions will not receive the Rs 2 lakh assistance.

The Bihar government will properly evaluate every application. Accordingly, women who are eligible for less than ₹2 lakh may receive a smaller amount. According to information provided by the Chief Minister, the first installment has already been transferred to the accounts of 1.56 crore women, and the selection process for the second phase has begun.
