UP Teachers Free Treatment: The UP government runs various schemes for the people of the state. New initiatives are launched periodically, keeping in mind different sections and financial backgrounds. In recent years, several decisions have been made for education-related employees in the state. Now, the state government has announced cashless treatment for teachers and education department employees.

Under this scheme, eligible teachers will receive cashless medical cover of up to Rs 5 lakh, which will reduce the financial burden in case of serious illness and facilitate treatment. Thousands of families are expected to benefit directly from this. Find out what documents will be required.

Which teachers will receive cashless treatment up to Rs 5 lakh?

This UP government facility will be available to teachers and employees of the education department who are deemed eligible by the government. Treatment will be available at government and private hospitals listed under the scheme. The cost of hospitalization and treatment will be covered under a set arrangement. Beneficiary teachers will not have to pay out-of-pocket on the spot.

This process will be somewhat similar to the Ayushman Bharat Yojana (Ayushman Bharat Yojana), where treatment bills will be settled directly through the system. This will provide significant relief in the event of a serious illness or surgery. Significantly, the treatment limit has been set at ₹5 lakh, which could prove to be a strong safety net for middle-class families.

What documents will be required?

To avail of this scheme, teachers and employees will first undergo a verification process. A committee will be formed in each district, headed by the District School Inspector and Basic Education Officer. This committee will verify eligibility and verify documents. Service certificates, identity cards, Aadhaar cards, employment-related documents, and departmental records may be required at the time of application.

After verification is complete, eligible teachers will be issued an official approval card. This card will allow them to access cashless treatment at listed hospitals. Therefore, it is crucial that all documents are accurate and up-to-date to avoid delays in the process.
