Study Options in the US and UK

The US has long been a popular study destination for Indian students, offering a wide range of universities and diverse courses. Tuition fees in the US vary significantly depending on the university and the course, and living expenses also differ based on the city.

Many institutions offer scholarship and assistantship opportunities. After completing their studies, students must adhere to specific visa and work permit regulations to work in the country. A significant change regarding French student visas has been introduced for 2026. Effective August 1, 2026, the minimum proof of financial resources required for a student visa has been raised to €877.50 per month, up from the previous €615. This means Indian students must keep this new financial benchmark in mind when applying for a visa. Furthermore, as of January 1, 2026, a new requirement involving a civic exam has been implemented for certain long-term residence permits and citizenship processes in France. While this rule does not apply directly to every student visa, students planning to reside in France for an extended period should be aware of it.
