How will armor 4.0 work?
Railway's Kavach 4.0 is a fully automated protection system. It is based on new modern technology. This system will sound the Kavach over speed alarm if the speed of the train is more than 2 km per hour from the prescribed speed. Whereas if the speed of the train is more than 5 km per hour then automatic brakes will be applied.
If the train reaches a speed of more than 9 km per hour from the prescribed speed then emergency brakes will be applied automatically. Interlocking has been installed on Kavach System 4.0. Due to which the next signal will reach the engine directly through radio waves. With this the pilot will be able to read the signal easily even at a speed of 160 km per hour. The pilot will not have to rely on the signals on the line.
