UPTET Result 2026: The wait for the lakhs of candidates who appeared for the Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (UPTET) 2026 may soon be over. The Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission (USESSC) is likely to release the UPTET 2026 results soon. Although the Commission has not yet announced an official date for the result declaration, various reports indicate that the scanning of OMR sheets is nearly complete. The next phase involves the evaluation of OMR sheets and the preparation of results. Consequently, it is anticipated that the results will be released in August 2026. Once released, candidates will be able to download their scorecards from the official websites: upessc.up.gov.in and updeled.gov.in.

When was the UPTET 2026 exam held?

The UPTET 2026 exam was conducted from July 2 to July 4, 2026. It was organized to determine eligibility for teaching roles at the primary and upper primary levels in the state's government and government-aided schools. The exam took place in offline mode across 955 centers in 60 districts of the state, with approximately 17 lakh candidates participating.

The result will appear on the screen once the details are submitted. After this, download the scorecard and keep a printed copy safe for future reference.

What information will the scorecard contain?

The UPTET 2026 scorecard will include the candidate's name, roll number, marks obtained, qualifying status, and other essential details related to the exam. Candidates are advised by the commission to thoroughly verify all the information on the scorecard after downloading it.

How many marks are required to pass?

To be declared successful in UPTET 2026, candidates belonging to the General category must secure at least 60 percent marks—meaning a minimum of 90 out of 150. For candidates belonging to the ST, SC, OBC, and PwD categories, the minimum requirement is set at 55 percent, or 82 out of 150 marks.

Successful candidates will receive a lifetime certificate.

Candidates who pass the UPTET 2026 exam by securing the prescribed minimum marks will be issued a UPTET eligibility certificate. This certificate will remain valid for a lifetime; this means candidates will not need to retake the exam upon the expiry of its validity. However, merely passing UPTET does not guarantee direct appointment to a government teaching position. This exam only establishes eligibility for teacher recruitment.
