Whatsapp Document Scanner: WhatsApp has finally introduced the feature for Android users which has been awaited for a long time, Document Scanning. However, this feature is currently being given only to selected beta testers. iPhone users had already got this feature but now it has started on Android platform as well.

Now no need for third-party app

Now users will not have to resort to any separate app to scan documents, because WhatsApp itself will scan the document with the camera and convert it into PDF format, which can be sent directly to any contact. This will eliminate the hassle of going to different apps and the whole process will become faster and easier.

How to get this feature?

This new feature was first seen in WhatsApp Beta for Android version 2.25.18.29 but it was not active then because it was in the development phase. Now gradually this feature is being rolled out for beta users. Many users have seen this feature being active after the latest update.

Where will you get the new option?

When you click on the attachment icon in WhatsApp, now you will see a new option "Scan Document" along with "Browse Documents" and "Choose from Gallery". As soon as you click on it, your phone camera will open, so that you can take a picture of the document and share it immediately.

Manual and automatic mode will also be available

WhatsApp has added another useful feature to it, Manual and Automatic scan mode. In manual mode, you can decide for yourself which part of the document to scan, whereas in automatic mode WhatsApp itself recognizes the edges of the document and scans it. This will give the user fast and accurate results.

Another new AI feature of WhatsApp

Not only this, recently WhatsApp has also launched a new AI-based chat summary feature. This feature creates a bullet-point summary of any personal chat and tells the user what the main topic of the conversation is – without opening the entire chat.
