Meta-owned instant messaging app WhatsApp is slowly going to become Snapchat. WhatsApp has been introducing features that are similar to Snapchat for the past few months and now the company is testing many new features simultaneously which are completely similar to Snapchat. According to the report, the company is preparing to give camera effects in WhatsApp and its testing is also going on.

According to the report, after the new update in WhatsApp, many camera effects will be available. Apart from this, many filters will also be available. Along with this, many options will also be available for the background. Many effects and filters will also be available for the face of the users. All these features will be available during video calling.

According to the report of WhatsApp feature tracker WABetaInfo, this feature has been seen in WhatsApp beta version 2.24.22.10 for Android, which is currently available on the Play Store. It is said that this feature is visible in the beta version, but at present it is available only to some beta testers.

Based on the screenshots shared by the feature tracker, this new feature can be turned on or off from the app's privacy settings. A new option called "Allow camera effects" appears in the settings, which can be toggled on or off.

While this feature can be controlled from the privacy settings, it can also be activated or disabled directly from the camera screen and video call interface, giving users easy access to the effects. The feature tracker has also revealed that the camera effects do not compromise any encryption protocols, meaning your privacy will be maintained.
