WhatsApp Safety Features: If you want to keep WhatsApp safe, then turn on these settings today

The instant messaging app WhatsApp is extremely popular around the world, with millions of active users every day. This popularity has made it a target for hackers and scammers who want to exploit users. Since the introduction of WhatsApp Meta AI's 'Blue Dot' feature, it has garnered a lot of attention. However, it is important to know how to keep your account safe from scammers.
WhatsApp not only offers the Meta AI feature but also offers several security features that users should be aware of. Let's learn about the important security features of the app that you should enable immediately.
WhatsApp Safety Features: These are useful features
WhatsApp Two-Step Verification: For user safety, WhatsApp offers a Two-Step Verification feature. To enable it, open WhatsApp, tap on the three dots on the right, and go to Settings.
In Settings, select the Account option, where you will find the Two-Step Verification feature. To activate it, you need to create a 6-digit PIN and provide an email address. This email address is important to reset your PIN if you forget your PIN. If someone tries to register WhatsApp with your number, they will first have to enter this 6-digit PIN.
Protect IP address in WhatsApp calls: If you use WhatsApp calls, you should enable this feature to prevent others from tracking your location through calls.
Turning on this feature ensures that your calls go through WhatsApp's servers, making it impossible for anyone to track your IP address and find your location. To enable it, go to WhatsApp Settings, then Privacy, and scroll down to Advanced options.
Disable WhatsApp link previews: To protect your IP address from third-party websites, you should enable this feature. Once enabled, any links you share in chats will not be previewed. This feature is available in the Advanced option under the Privacy section in WhatsApp settings.
