WHATSAPP

Since the acquisition by Meta, WhatsApp has continued to add new features to its platform. The instant messaging app is gradually introducing new features, which, in addition to protecting user privacy, are also designed to improve the chat experience. Now, a new feature has been discovered in the latest beta version of WhatsApp for Android that adds a favorite filter field to the app. At the same time, the chats of the contacts that the user has marked as favorite will be saved. The platform recently added the ability to exchange one-minute voice messages as status updates. At the same time, earlier it was reported that the instant messaging platform is also working on a profile photo generation feature using artificial intelligence (AI).

WhatsApp has introduced a new feature where users will see a new 'Favorite' chat window in the app. The company has made this feature available in beta version 2.24.12.7. The new Favorites filter lets users filter their favorite chats in a separate window. The website says that the feature is now available to some beta testers and may be available to more beta testers in the coming days. The feature was first shared by WABetaInfo.

We were able to use this feature in the latest beta version of WhatsApp. The new feature definitely improves the chat experience as you no longer have to scroll to find your loved one or group chat. You can add your favorite contact or group chat to your favorites list. You will then see a Favorites tab on your home screen where you will find the chats of the users you have added. Below we will explain how this can be done easily.

How do I add a contact or group to favorites?

The first and easiest way to do this is to tap and hold on the chat box of the person or group you are interested in, then tap on the three dots menu option at the top right. Here you will see the “Add to Favorites” option.

At the same time, the second option is useful if you want to add multiple people or groups at the same time. You have to go to the in-app settings. Here you will see the Favorites option. Then tap on “Add to Favorites” in this option, select your favorite contacts or groups and tap on the green button below.

Separately, we would like to inform you that WhatsApp has recently introduced a new feature that allows users to share long voice messages in status updates. This feature is available for both iPhone and Android versions of the app. Meanwhile, the instant messaging platform is working on another feature that uses artificial intelligence (AI) to create profile pictures. However, it is also available for Android smartphone users. This feature is called Artificial Intelligence Profile Picture.
