Meta's WhatsApp has introduced exciting new features. Users can now personalize their video calls with custom backgrounds and filters, and add a creative and personal touch to both one-on-one and group calls.
In a post on his WhatsApp channel, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg wrote, "Some new filters and backgrounds are being introduced for video calls, so had to try them out," while he shared some filters and background effects.
WhatsApp's latest update includes 10 filters such as Warm, Cool, Black and White, Light Leak, Dreamy, Prism Light, Fisheye, Vintage TV, Frosted Glass and Duo Tone. Apart from this, there are also 10 new background options including Blur, Living Room, Office, Cafe, Pebbles, Foodie, Smush, Beach, Sunset, Celebration, and Forest.
Additionally, users can use touch-up and low-light filters to improve picture quality during calls, making video chats more clear and engaging.
How to use WhatsApp filters and backgrounds during video calls
Start a video call on WhatsApp and select the effects icon from the top right corner of your smartphone, where you can choose an effect or background.
Currently available for both Android and iOS smartphone users. Make sure to download and install the latest version of WhatsApp to experience these new filters and stickers the next time you make a video call on WhatsApp.
