WhatsApp has rolled out a new feature for iOS users, in which users will now get AI-powered answers through a dedicated support chat. This new feature is available in the latest version of the WhatsApp app and will be available to all iOS users in the coming weeks.

What is this new WhatsApp support chat?

This support chat can be accessed through WhatsApp Settings > Help > Help Center > Contact Us. Through this, users can open a new chat window, which will have a Meta Verified blue tick, indicating that it is the official support account of WhatsApp.

When users ask their question in this chat, they get a notification that the answers will be generated by Artificial Intelligence (AI), and these answers may sometimes contain "incorrect or inappropriate information". There is also a Meta AI indicator and timestamp below each answer.

How will AI help?

Users can share their problem directly through text or by sending a screenshot.

Answers are received immediately, and each chat is also given a support ticket number.

This feature is especially useful for answering frequently asked questions.
If a user asks for human assistance, he or she receives an automated message stating that the chat is being actively monitored and that support staff will intervene if needed.
