According to Wabetainfo, the new feature has been spotted in WhatsApp beta for Android 2.25.18.11. WhatsApp users will also get the option of Download Quality with the upcoming updates. With this option, you will be able to manually set whether the media files coming on WhatsApp should be downloaded in HD quality or saved in SD quality.
Wabetainfo has also shared a screenshot of the upcoming download quality feature. It can be seen in this that WhatsApp users will have to visit the Storage and Data section in the Settings option. In this section, users will get the option of auto download quality. Users will be able to choose one of the HD and SD quality options here.
