Vaishno Devi Travel Rules: The 24-hour time limit for the Vaishno Devi pilgrimage has been set for security and monitoring purposes. Failure to report within the stipulated time does not result in a fine, but rather prompts increased vigilance from the administration.

Vaishno Devi Travel Rules: Every year, millions of devotees from across the country arrive in Katra, Jammu, to visit Mata Vaishno Devi. Faith, discipline, and security have been the hallmarks of this pilgrimage. Considering the increasing crowds and the need for better management, the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board makes changes to the rules from time to time. Now, some new rules have been implemented for the pilgrimage, which every devotee must follow.

The purpose of these rules is not to punish any devotee. The aim is simply to ensure that the pilgrimage remains organized, that every person is safe, and that crowd management is effective. This has led many devotees to wonder what will happen if the pilgrimage is not completed within 24 hours and whether the Shrine Board will levy a fine. Let's understand all these rules in simple and clear language.

What happens if the pilgrimage is not completed within 24 hours?

According to the new rules, devotees who start their journey on foot from Banganga must report back to Banganga within 24 hours. This does not mean that a fine will be imposed as soon as 24 hours are complete. Rather, it is a tracking and safety rule. If a devotee does not report within the stipulated time, the administration becomes vigilant about their whereabouts. Assistance or investigation is provided if needed. The Shrine Board has not yet made any provision for financial penalties. This rule has been created to control crowds and ensure the safety of devotees in emergency situations. Therefore, it is very important to keep track of the time.

New rules related to RFID cards and रोपवे tickets

The Shrine Board has also set clear rules regarding RFID cards. Now, when a devotee obtains an RFID card, they must start their journey within 10 hours. If the journey is not started within the stipulated time, that card will no longer be valid, and a new card will have to be issued. A time limit has also been set for the ropeway tickets between the Mata Vaishno Devi temple and Bhairav Ghati.

Devotees who purchase a ropeway ticket must complete their journey to Bhairav Ghati within two hours. The purpose of these rules is to ensure that tickets and facilities are not misused and that every devotee gets a fair opportunity to have darshan (receive blessings).
