Applicants must be Indian citizens and have a clean criminal record. Furthermore, the agency owner must be financially sound so that they can pay their guards' salaries on time. The agency must train its security guards according to established regulations. Guards must be between 18 and 65 years of age and must be in good health and mental health. Only after these verifications can a guard be hired.

How to Apply?

Security agency licenses are issued by the state government. You must visit the website of your state's Home Ministry or Police Department. They offer online applications for a PSARA license. The application requires submitting required documents, such as an Aadhaar card, PAN card, registered office address, guard training center information, and a police verification report.

In some states, the application process is also offline. The application process involves submitting a form to a department of the Ministry of Home Affairs. After submitting the application, officials conduct an inspection and, if found to be correct, issue a license. This license is generally valid for five years and must be renewed periodically.
