Prasar Bharati under the Government of India has launched a new OTT platform named Waves. Through this app, users can watch movies, TV shows, web series, documentaries, and live TV for free under trial. There is no shortage of content on this platform and the biggest thing is that no subscription plan or registration charge is being taken for it. Meaning, download it directly, open the app, and start watching.

What is Waves OTT?

Waves is an app of Prasar Bharati, which means that it is a government app. Although it was launched last year, at that time limited content was available on the platform. Now, over time new content has been added to it. Currently, it is available for free on Google Play Store and Android users can download it directly. This app is specially designed keeping in mind those users who want to enjoy digital entertainment without spending money.

The app has content in Hindi and other languages, which includes old classic TV shows, DD's popular programs, documentaries, and some new digital shows. Also, the option of live TV channels and web series is available on this platform.

Waves Free Plan
The name of the free plan is Gold, in which all the content will be available, but with advertisements. At the same time, the maximum device support in it is 2 and the content cannot be downloaded for offline watching.

Waves Premium Plans
If you want some extra features, such as UHD content watching, a download option, or more device support, then there are some paid options for you as well. All of these also seem affordable compared to other platforms. Prasar Bharati has introduced Diamond and Platinum plans for Waves. Waves OTT's Diamond subscription can be taken monthly, quarter, and yearly. If you want a monthly plan, you will have to pay Rs 30 per month. A diamond subscription for three months will cost Rs 85 and for the whole year, you will have to pay Rs 350. Waves OTT's Platinum subscription is only on an annual basis. Its price is Rs 999.

Waves are not limited to just entertainment. Gaming and shopping features have also been added to it, that is, you can watch videos, shop, and play games in a single app. The interface of the app has been kept simple so that all types of users can use it easily.
