Faridabad Water Supply: Amidst the intense heat, residents living in and around Faridabad and Ballabgarh may face a water shortage in the coming days. Water supply to several parts of the city will be halted for about 48 hours.
The Faridabad Metropolitan Development Authority (FMDA) has appealed to residents to make advance arrangements for water storage for the period between June 29 and July 1. They have also advised people to use water judiciously during these two days to avoid facing major difficulties.
Water supply to remain suspended from June 29 to July 1
According to the FMDA, water supply to several areas will be suspended from the evening of June 29 to the evening of July 1 due to essential pipeline repairs. During this period, technical work involving the connection of pipelines will be carried out near Badarpur village; specifically, 'Ranney Well Water Supply Line No. 2' will be connected to another pipeline.
Officials state that once this work is completed, water pressure and the overall supply system will improve. However, even after supply resumes on July 1, it may take some time for water pressure to normalize in areas located at the tail-end of the distribution network.
Areas most likely to be affected
The suspension of water supply is expected to impact several areas, including Tirkha Colony, Shiv Colony, Chawla Colony, Sector-24, Mujesar, Sector-7, Sector-8, and Ballabgarh Sector-3. Additionally, for any water-related issues, residents can contact the Water Supply In-charge (Junior Engineer), Jaswant, at mobile number 9810530284.
