Applicants interested in the paid internship offered by DRDO should send their applications via speed post to the Director, Defence Geo-Informatics Research Establishment (DGRE), Defence Research and Development Organisation, Sector-37A, Chandigarh - 160036, for the attention of the HR Department. They can also contact via email at director.dgre@gov.in. It is essential that the envelope clearly states "Application for Paid Internship: Commencing January 2026" and also includes the relevant branch code to facilitate proper sorting and processing of applications.

Total Duration of the DRDO Internship

This internship will commence on January 1, 2026, and will last for six months. Selected students will be required to submit a progress report after three months and a final project report at the end of six months. Upon successful submission of the final report, DGRE will issue an official internship certificate. This internship requires a commitment of at least 15 working days per month, and the stipend will be paid in two installments – one after three months and the final installment upon completion of the program.

The following qualifications are mandatory:

Full-time Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or Science from a recognized Indian university/institution
Minimum 75 percent marks or 7.5 CGPA in all previous semesters
Maximum age limit: 28 years
Selection will be based on academic performance (CGPA/percentage) and an online or telephonic interview, followed by document verification.
