January 26th Parade Tickets: Booking tickets in advance is essential to attend the January 26th parade. Tickets are available both online and offline. Learn about the process here.
India is set to celebrate its 77th Republic Day on January 26, 2026. Preparations are in full swing in the capital, Delhi. This is the day when the country and the world witness the might of the Indian Army, the tableaux from various states, and cultural programs. Millions of people want to be a part of this parade.
The main Republic Day parade will be held on January 26th at Kartavya Path in New Delhi. This will be followed by the Beating Retreat ceremony on January 28th and 29th, which is considered a spectacular culmination of the entire celebration. Tickets are required for both events, and it's best to book them in advance.
If you want to get tickets from the comfort of your home, you can book them online through the Ministry of Defence's invitation portal. You need to register and log in using your mobile number. After that, you have to select the event – either the parade or the Beating Retreat – and choose your seating option.
After selecting the event, enter the number of tickets you need. Then, fill in your required information and upload a valid photo ID, such as Aadhaar or Voter ID. After that, make the online payment. Once the payment is complete, you can download your e-ticket. You can also print it out.
For those who prefer not to book tickets online, government offline counters are also set up in Delhi. You can buy tickets directly by showing your original photo ID at these counters. Counters are available at Sena Bhavan, Shastri Bhavan, Jantar Mantar, Parliament House, Rajiv Chowk Metro Station, and Kashmiri Gate Metro Station.
When attending the event, carry the same photo ID that you used for booking. The ticket is valid only for the selected date and event. It's best to arrive at least 1 to 2 hours in advance. Security checks are conducted at all gates, so do not carry any prohibited items.
Traffic is restricted on Kartavya Path and the surrounding areas on Republic Day. In such a situation, using public transport is the best option. Save your e-ticket on your mobile phone or carry a printed copy with you. With a little planning, you can fully enjoy this historic parade.
