Let us then know in detail whether you should link the Voter ID card with the phone number, like all your other cards?
Is it necessary to link the Voter ID card with the phone number?
The answer to this question in one word is no. It is not legally necessary that you link your Voter ID card to your phone number. On the other hand, there is a legal obligation with a PAN card or an Aadhar card, and those who have delayed linking them have also had to pay a fine. Now, even though there is no such obligation with Voter ID, linking the Voter ID card with the phone number is quite beneficial. This makes it easy for you to get all the updates related to the election, information about the changes in your voter card, and download the e-voter card. In such a situation, if you want to link your voter ID card for all these benefits, then you can do it by following a simple online process.
