Vande Bharat to Run on Surat-Udaipur Route; Check the Scheduled Stoppages

If you travel by train between Gujarat and Rajasthan, there is good news for you. Indian Railways is launching a new Vande Bharat Express connecting Surat and Udaipur. The primary objective of this service is to offer fast and convenient rail connectivity to passengers traveling between the two cities. This train will operate under the Western Railway zone.

The Railway Board has approved the operation of this train. It will cover a distance of approximately 690 kilometers in about 7 hours and 30 minutes, with a reported maximum speed of 160 km/h. Let us take a look at the route, stoppages, timings, and fare details.

Where will the Surat-Udaipur Vande Bharat stop?

Several stoppages have been designated along the route between Surat and Udaipur. The train will halt at the following stations in both directions:

Dungarpur

The train will proceed towards Udaipur via Asarva Junction.

When and at what time will the train run?

The Surat-Udaipur Vande Bharat Express will operate six days a week. It will run on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, remaining off-service on Tuesdays. The train will offer AC Chair Car and Executive Chair Car facilities.

Surat-Udaipur (26903): The train will depart from Surat at 6:10 AM and arrive in Udaipur at 1:40 PM. Udaipur-Surat (26904): On the return journey, this train will depart from Udaipur at 3:35 PM and arrive in Surat at 11:00 PM.
The service from Udaipur to Surat will commence on October 3, 2026.
The service from Surat to Udaipur will begin on October 4, 2026.

What will be the fare from Surat to Udaipur?

Passengers traveling on this train will be charged fares based on the class of travel. Two types of coaches will be available on this train. The fare for AC Chair Car (CC) between Surat and Udaipur is reported to be ₹1,515, while the fare for Executive Chair Car (EC) is ₹2,720.
