Indian Coast Guard recruitment 2024 Navik and Yantrik Posts: There is good news for the candidates who have not been able to apply for Navik and Mechanical posts in Indian Coast Guard (ICG) till now. ICG has extended the deadline for online registration for the post of Navik (General Duty) and Mechanical through the Coast Guard Enrolled Personal Test (CGEPT) 01/2025 batch. Eligible candidates can now submit their applications on the official website join Indiancoastguard.cdac.in till July 10, 2024. Through this recruitment process, eligible and selected candidates will be reinstated on a total of 320 vacancies. Out of which 260 vacancies are for the post of Sailor (GD) and 60 vacancies are for the post of Mechanical.
Indian Coast Guard recruitment 2024: Age Limit
Candidates willing to apply for Sailor and Mechanical posts in the Indian Coast Guard should have a minimum age of 18 years and a maximum of 22 years. Candidates applying for Sailor (GD) and Mechanical posts should be born between 01 March 2003 to 28 February 2007. 5 years relaxation in upper age for SC, and ST category candidates and 3 years relaxation in age limit for OBC candidates will be applicable only if the posts are reserved for them.
Indian Coast Guard Recruitment 2024: Educational Qualification
Sailor (General Duty): Passed class 12th with Maths and Physics from a recognized education board.
Yantrik: Passed class 10th from a recognized education board and Diploma of 03 or 04 years duration in Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics, Telecommunication (Radio/Power) Engineering approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).

Indian Coast Guard Recruitment 2024: Exam Fee
SC and ST candidates are exempted from payment of the application fee.
Other category candidates have to pay a Rs 300 exam fee through online mode.
Indian Coast Guard Recruitment 2024: Salary
Sailor (General Duty)- Basic Salary Rs. 21700/ (Pay Level 3) plus dearness allowance and other allowances depending on nature of duty, and place of posting as per prevailing rules.
Yantrik- Basic Salary Rs. 29200/ (Pay Level 5). Apart from this, a dearness allowance of more than 6200/ and other allowances will be given based on the nature of duty, and place of deployment.
