The Uttarakhand Medical Health Services Selection Board (UKMSSB) has announced recruitment for 587 Nursing Officer positions in the state. All these positions will be filled under the Medical Education Department, and the notification was issued on November 27, 2025. The online application process for this recruitment began on November 27, and candidates can apply on the official website until December 17, 2025.
The total of 587 positions under recruitment are divided into four categories. General Nursing Officer (Male/Female) positions account for the highest number at 336, followed by 144 positions for Nursing Officer (Male) diploma holders. There are 75 positions available for Nursing Officer (Female) degree holders and 32 for Nursing Officer (Male) degree holders.
Regarding the eligibility criteria, candidates for Nursing Officer must possess a B.Sc Nursing, Post Basic B.Sc Nursing, or General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) diploma from an institution recognized by the Indian Nursing Council. It is also essential that the candidate is actively registered with the Uttarakhand Nurses and Midwives Council, Dehradun.
Regarding the application fee, the board has determined the fees according to different categories. Candidates from the General and OBC categories will have to pay ₹300. Candidates from the Economically Weaker Section (EWS), Scheduled Caste, and Scheduled Tribe categories will have to pay ₹150.
Persons with disabilities can also apply by paying ₹150. It is important to note that this fee is non-refundable, so please verify all required documents and eligibility before filling out the form.
Selected candidates will receive a salary at Pay Matrix Level 7 as per the Seventh Pay Commission, starting from ₹44,900 and going up to ₹1,42,400 per month.

Then, log in and fill in the details. Candidates must then upload their documents, including their photo, signature, educational certificates, and nursing registration certificate. Finally, submit the form by paying the application fee.
