Useful News: CISF personnel will get pension-allowance on the day of retirement, e-service book portal launched..
CISF personnel will no longer have to wait for months and run around offices for pension and other allowances after retirement. CISF has launched the e-service book portal for payment of all allowances and initiation of pension on the day of retirement itself. More than 2400 personnel retire every year from CISF.
A senior Home Ministry official said that under the Modi government's Digital India Initiative, an e-service book portal has been prepared for CISF personnel. Work is also underway to create similar e-service book portals for other departments. He said that it used to take several months to release allowances and start pensions after the retirement of CISF personnel, especially those posted in remote areas.
Not only did it take time for physical files to move between different departments, but there was also a possibility of error. But with the e-service book portal, the exchange of e-files between all departments will be easy. He said that serving personnel will also benefit from this. They will also be able to view their service book online and get it corrected in time in case of any mistakes in them.
Your complaint will be resolved from anywhere in the country.
The government said on Wednesday that the 'e-Dakhil' portal has been successfully launched in all the states and union territories as a cheap, quick, and hassle-free system for registering consumer complaints. Along with this, the government is also working towards bringing the 'e-Jagriti' portal. This portal will streamline the filing of cases, monitoring, and management of their progress. This will ensure a hassle-free experience for consumers and other stakeholders.
The Ministry of Consumer Affairs said in a statement that with the recent introduction of the e-Dakhil portal in Ladakh, this online complaint platform is now available to consumers across India. The e-Dakhil portal, first introduced on September 7, 2020, has been developed to streamline the consumer grievance redressal process.
It provides an efficient and convenient way for consumers to reach the concerned consumer court. At present, 2,81,024 users are registered on the e-Dakhil portal and a total of 1,98,725 cases have been filed. Out of this, 38,453 cases have been settled.
