This warning has been issued by the official Twitter/X handle 'Cyber Dost' of the Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Center (I4C) working under the Ministry of Home Affairs. Cyber Dost has recently shared a list of these dangerous apps in a post and has said that many of these apps are connected to foreign enemy elements.
Delete these apps immediately.

Warning also on keeping the internet on during phone calls
Recently, the government has given another warning, stating that keeping the internet on while making a phone call can allow your phone to listen to your conversation. A police officer explained in a video how you can check which apps have been allowed microphone access. For this, go to Google Chrome settings and check the microphone permission.
