UPSC Prelims Results 2024: The Commission released the results of prelims, know how to check here

The Union Public Service Commission i.e. UPSC has released the results of the Civil Services (Prelims) Examination 2024 today, July 1. Candidates who appeared in the exam can check their results on the official website upsc.gov.in. Candidates who qualify for the Civil Services Preliminary Examination will proceed to the next and important stage, UPSC CSE Mains 2024, and eventually to the Interview or Personal Test stage.

The Commission wrote in an official statement, "The candidature of these candidates is provisional. As per the rules of the examination, all these candidates will have to apply again in the Detailed Application Form-I (DAF-I) for the Civil Services (Mains) Examination, 2024. The date and important instructions for filling the DAF-I and submitting it will be announced on the Commission's website in due course."

It is worth noting that UPSC CSE Prelims 2024 was conducted on June 16 at various examination centers across the country. The Civil Services (Prelims) exam consisted of two papers of objective type (multiple choice questions) and carried a maximum of 400 marks.

What next?

UPSC had earlier said that it would prepare a list of qualified candidates for the Civil Services (Mains) exam based on the criteria of minimum qualifying marks of 33% in General Studies Paper-II of Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination and minimum qualifying marks of General Studies Paper-I of Civil Services (Prelims) Examination.

1056 vacancies will be filled in central government services and departments through the UPSC Civil Services 2024 exam. This includes the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Police Service (IPS) and Indian Foreign Service (IFS). Out of the total vacancies, 40 posts are reserved for persons with benchmark disability category.

• First of all, go to the official website of UPSC upsc.gov.in.
• Then click on the UPSC Civil Services (Preliminary) Result 2024 link available on the home page.
• Now a new page will open, where candidates have to enter the required details.
• Then click on submit and see the result.
• After this download the result page.
• Finally, keep a hard copy of it with you for further need.
