The official said that the income, caste, and physical disability documents submitted by at least 40 of the 1,009 candidates who passed the CSE 2024 are also being investigated.

From 2019, candidates who do not come under the purview of reservation for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and OBCs and whose annual family income is less than Rs 8 lakh. He is entitled to a 10% reservation under the EWS quota. Around 4% of the posts in the civil services exam are reserved for PwBD candidates.
