The Union Public Services Commission has rejected the applications of many candidates who applied for the UPSC Civil Services Preliminary Examination 2025. In this regard, the commission has also released a list on the official website, which contains the names of those applicants whose applications has been rejected. In such a situation, all the candidates who have applied for this can see the list through the official website of UPSC upsc.gov.in.

What is the reason?

According to the notice issued by the Union Public Services Commission, the form of 43 candidates was rejected for not receiving the application fee. According to the notice, the commission has released the list of rejected candidates for not receiving the application fee of ₹ 100/- from the bank. The applications of a total of 43 candidates have been rejected.

The notice further states that candidates can appeal against the rejection within 10 days with documents. This includes a hard copy of the system-generated challan, debit/credit card statement, or bank account statement. The appeal should be sent by speed post or in person to Smt. Kiran K. Arora, Under Secretary (CSP), UPSC at the specified address. The last date for appeal is March 17, 2025. If valid documentary evidence is not received by the last date, the application will not be considered for revival.

When is the exam?

UPSC Civil Services (Preliminary) Exam 2025 will be held on May 25, 2025. The Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination will consist of two papers of objective type (multiple choice questions) and carry a maximum of 400 marks in the subjects. This examination is meant to serve as a screening test only; the marks obtained in the Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination by candidates declared qualified for admission to the Civil Services (Main) Examination will not be counted for determining their final merit.
