UP Scholarship 2025-26: This comes as a major relief for thousands of students in Uttar Pradesh who had previously missed out on receiving their scholarships. The Department of Social Welfare has once again reopened the portal for the Scholarship and Fee Reimbursement Scheme for the academic session 2025-26. The objective is to provide an opportunity to those students who, due to technical glitches or other reasons, were unable to submit their applications earlier.

The government states that this decision aims to ensure that no eligible student is deprived of the scheme's benefits solely due to procedural hurdles or technical difficulties. With the reopening of the portal, such students will now be able to apply again and receive financial assistance.

Which Students Are Eligible for the Scheme's Benefits?

The benefits of this scheme are available to students belonging to the General Category, Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), and the transgender community. The government's focus lies particularly on students who are economically disadvantaged and are facing difficulties in continuing their education.

Number of Students Who Benefited Last Time

According to the Department of Social Welfare, the portal for this scheme was similarly reopened during the previous financial year (2024-25). During that period, a total of 53,041 students received scholarships and fee reimbursements amounting to ₹81.12 crore. Of this total, 25,395 SC students received assistance worth ₹30.65 crore, while 27,640 students from the General Category received ₹50.47 crore. Commenting on this initiative, the State Minister for Social Welfare, Asim Arun, stated that under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the state government is continuously working to ensure equal opportunities in the field of education. He stated that the government's objective is to ensure that no student is compelled to discontinue their studies midway due to financial constraints, and that the benefits of education reach every deserving individual.

• Now, enter your educational information and fill in your personal details.
• Subsequently, upload the documents required for the scheme.
• After uploading the documents, review all the details once again and submit the application form.
• Finally, print a hard copy of your application and submit it to your educational institution.
