The Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC) has initiated preparations to release the notification for the Excise Constable Recruitment 2026 for the youth. Under this recruitment drive, 722 vacant posts for Excise Constables within the state will be filled.
This is considered a golden opportunity for 12th-pass candidates who are aspiring to secure a government job. The entire recruitment process will be conducted online, and candidates will be selected in accordance with the prescribed procedure. To apply, candidates must possess a valid score from the UPSSSC PET (Preliminary Eligibility Test) 2025.
A total of 722 appointments will be made through this recruitment drive. The recruitment will take place across various districts of Uttar Pradesh. Candidates will be able to submit their application forms until June 24, 2026. Furthermore, a window for making corrections to the application forms will be provided until July 1, 2026.
To apply for the Excise Constable recruitment, candidates must have passed the 12th grade from a recognized board. Additionally, it is mandatory for candidates to possess a valid score card from the UPSSSC PET 2025. Candidates without a valid PET score will not be eligible to participate in this recruitment process.
For this recruitment, the minimum age limit for candidates has been set at 18 years, and the maximum age limit at 40 years. Candidates belonging to reserved categories will be granted age relaxation in accordance with government regulations. The calculation of age will be based on the cut-off date determined by the Commission. The application fee for this recruitment has been fixed at ₹25. Candidates will be able to submit the fee through online modes.
For male candidates, the minimum height requirement has been set at 167.6 centimeters. Additionally, the chest measurement must fall within the range of 80 to 85 centimeters. A minimum height of 152 centimeters has been prescribed for female candidates. Additionally, female applicants are required to weigh at least 45 kilograms. A physical test will also be conducted as part of the recruitment process.
Candidates will be selected based on their PET scores, written examination, physical efficiency test, and document verification. The final merit list will be released in accordance with the procedure established by the Commission. Selected candidates will be appointed to the Uttar Pradesh Excise Department.
