UP Police to Conduct Massive Recruitment Drive for 81,000 Posts: Learn How to Apply

Great news has emerged for the youth of Uttar Pradesh. The state government has announced a large-scale recruitment drive within the Police Department for the financial year 2026-27. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has declared that more than 81,000 police posts across the state will be filled.

This decision is viewed not only as a significant step toward boosting employment opportunities but is also linked to the objective of further strengthening and modernizing the state's law and order machinery.

The Chief Minister stated that this recruitment process will be conducted in a completely transparent, fair, and time-bound manner. He has issued clear directives to the Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board to ensure that all selection procedures are carried out in strict accordance with established rules and the reservation policy. The government's objective is to maintain the youth's trust in the recruitment process and to ensure that they receive opportunities without any discrimination.

This massive recruitment campaign encompasses a wide range of positions. These include Sub-Inspectors, Civil Police Constables, Radio Assistant Operators, Computer Operators (Grade-A), as well as various other technical and non-technical posts.

Through the filling of these positions, the police force will not only be expanded in terms of numbers but will also see a significant enhancement in its operational efficiency and technical proficiency.

Regarding the selection process, candidates will be selected based on a written examination and an interview. The written examination will carry a total of 300 marks and will consist of objective-type questions. The examination will cover four main subjects:

General Knowledge, General Hindi, Numerical and Mental Ability, and Mental Aptitude, IQ, and Reasoning Ability. The purpose of this examination structure is to comprehensively evaluate the candidates' overall capabilities.
