UP Police Constable Recruitment: 3-Year Age Relaxation Granted, Now Young People Up to This Age Can Apply
UP Police Age Relaxation: Candidates in the UP Police Constable recruitment will now receive a 3-year age relaxation. Let's find out how many positions will be filled under this recruitment...
The government has announced major relief for lakhs of young people preparing for police recruitment in Uttar Pradesh. Candidates who have been waiting for recruitment for a long time will no longer have to worry about the age limit. On the instructions of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, a special three-year age relaxation has been granted in the direct recruitment of the UP Police and Jail Department. This decision will be applicable to the direct recruitment of Constables and equivalent posts for 2025.
The government says that this decision has been taken entirely in the interest of the youth. Due to delays in recruitment processes in the past few years, many eligible candidates had crossed the age limit. This age relaxation has been given to provide another opportunity to such young people, so that more and more eligible and hardworking candidates can participate in the recruitment process.
Under this decision, a total of 32,679 posts will be filled. These posts include important positions such as Constable Civil Police, PAC, Armed Police, Special Security Force, Women's Battalion, Mounted Police, and Jail Warder. The government order has been issued, and the application process is expected to begin soon. Following the announcement of the recruitment, renewed enthusiasm is being seen among the youth.
Who gets how much relaxation?
According to the new system, the maximum age limit for male candidates in the general category has been increased from 22 years to 25 years. For women in the general category, the maximum age limit has been increased from 25 years to 28 years. This will also provide relief to female candidates who have been waiting for recruitment for several years.
Candidates from Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and Other Backward Classes will also benefit greatly from this decision. For male candidates in these categories, the maximum age limit has been increased from 27 years to 30 years, while for women it has been increased from 30 years to 33 years. This means that now even older young people will be able to apply for UP Police recruitment. Benefits for all
The government has also clarified that this age limit relaxation is being granted as a one-time special measure. It will benefit candidates from all categories, ensuring that there is no discrimination. The government believes that this will make the recruitment process more transparent and inclusive.
