There is good news for UP Board students. They no longer need to worry about their studies and exam preparation throughout the year, as the UP Board has released the complete academic calendar for the 2026-27 session. This calendar outlines the dates for both pre-board and board examinations. With the release of this calendar, students will have ample time to create an effective study schedule, enabling them to prepare better for their exams.
According to the released calendar, the new session begins on April 1, 2026. Schools have been instructed to conduct classes according to the schedule to ensure students do not face excessive pressure at the last minute.
Unit Tests to Begin in July
To continuously assess student preparation, unit tests will be conducted in four phases. The first unit test will be held in the second week of July 2026 and will feature MCQ-based questions. The second unit test is scheduled for the last week of August and will include written questions. Subsequent unit tests will be held in November and December, allowing students to improve their preparation in a timely manner.
When Will Half-Yearly Exams Take Place?
According to the calendar, half-yearly practical exams will be conducted in the fourth week of September 2026. This will be followed by half-yearly written exams in the second or third week of October. The results of these exams will be released by the first week of November, making it easier for students and schools to gauge academic progress.
Deadline for Syllabus Completion
The UP Board has also set a deadline for completing the syllabus in the released schedule. The entire course curriculum for classes 10 and 12 must be completed by January 10, 2027. For classes 9 and 11, the deadline has been set for January 25, 2027. The board aims to ensure students have sufficient time for revision before the examinations.
Pre-board exams to be held in January
Pre-board practical exams for Class 12 will begin on January 11, 2027, while the written pre-board exams for classes 10 and 12 will be conducted starting January 18.
When will the board exams take place?
The annual examinations for classes 9 and 11 will be held between February 1 and February 10. Meanwhile, board practical exams will take place from January 27 to February 10. Subsequently, the main board examinations will be conducted in February 2027; the evaluation of answer sheets and the preparation of results will be carried out in March following the conclusion of the exams.
