UP Board 2026: Intermediate Practical Exam Dates Announced, Check the Full Schedule Here
The examinations will be conducted in two phases to ensure smooth and organized evaluation across all districts. This decision will not only give students and teachers ample time to prepare but also allow for better management of the examination process.
An important update has emerged for millions of students associated with the Uttar Pradesh Secondary Education Council (UP Board). The UP Board has officially released the schedule for the 2026 Intermediate (Class 12) practical examinations. The board will conduct these examinations in two phases to ensure a smooth and organized evaluation process across all districts. This decision will not only give students and teachers ample time to prepare but also allow for better management of the examination system.
Exams to be held in two phases, the first from January 24, 2026
The first phase of the Intermediate practical examinations will be held from January 24, 2026, to February 1, 2026. This phase includes 10 districts of the state: Agra, Saharanpur, Bareilly, Lucknow, Jhansi, Chitrakoot, Ayodhya, Azamgarh, Devipatan, and Basti. However, practical examinations will not be conducted on January 29 and 30, 2026. This is because the UP TET (Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test) written examination is scheduled on these two days. Due to the UP TET examination, many schools in the state will have a holiday, hence the decision to postpone the practical examinations on these dates.

Eight districts included in the second phase
The second phase of the Intermediate practical examinations will be held between February 2, 2026, and February 9, 2026. This phase includes 8 districts of the state: Aligarh, Meerut, Moradabad, Kanpur, Prayagraj, Mirzapur, Varanasi, and Gorakhpur. Students in schools in these districts will have their practical examinations during this period. The board's objective is to ensure uniform evaluation across all districts and prevent any inconvenience to students.
