Unique Kisan ID Card: Government will empower 11 crore farmers, everyone will get digital identity..

The central government has started a new initiative for crores of farmers in the country. Now the government is preparing to give Unique Kisan ID Cards to the farmers. This card will be similar to the Aadhaar Card.

The government is trying its best that all the farmers have Unique Kisan ID Cards for the next three years. At the same time, the government's target for the current financial year is that the Unique Kisan ID Card should reach 6 crore farmers. This card will be made by the state and union territories. This will help in monitoring the farmers through the card

Where will the Unique Kisan ID Card be used?
This card will be used for monitoring the farmers. Through this card, the government will know how much land, and cattle the farmer has. Apart from this, it will be known through the card which crop the farmer has cultivated. This card will help in giving a digital identity to all the farmers of the country.

This card will prove to be very beneficial for the farmers along with the government. Through this card, farmers will be able to easily avail of services like crop insurance and crop loans. Even the map of the village land and information about the crop sown will be available. This card has been made in the form of digital public infrastructure (DPI).

11 crore farmers will benefit
The government has created a scheme called Digital Agriculture Mission to give digital identity to 11 crore farmers. The government aims to provide the benefits of the scheme to all the farmers of the country by the financial year 2026-27. Currently, the government has data on 11 crore farmers. All these farmers are beneficiaries of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana.
