LPG Cylinder Booking: Nowadays, many people are facing difficulties when trying to book an LPG cylinder. Furthermore, many have complained that while their cylinder has been successfully booked, they are subsequently experiencing delays in delivery. Consequently, they are being forced to make repeated trips to their gas agency. If you happen to be one of these individuals, this article may prove helpful to you. It is worth noting that by taking the right steps backed by accurate information, you can easily ensure the delivery of your LPG cylinder. Let's find out how.

Why are there difficulties in booking cylinders?
The primary reason for the inability to book is a new regulation. The government recently revised the booking rules to facilitate better management of gas stocks. As a result, a mandatory gap of at least 25 days has now been instituted between bookings for domestic gas cylinders. This means that if you have recently received a cylinder, a new booking will not be accepted until a full 25 days have elapsed. Additionally, the system often slows down—either due to a high volume of simultaneous users on the mobile app or website—which also contributes to booking-related difficulties.

Where to Lodge a Complaint
If your gas agency is unresponsive to your concerns or is deliberately delaying the process, you can lodge a complaint directly on the PG Portal. This is a government-operated platform where your grievance is routed directly to the relevant department, ensuring timely action is taken. To do so:

Visit the PG Portal website.
Create an account or log in.
Click on 'Lodge Public Grievance'.
Next, select the 'Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas' option.
Describe your LPG-related issue in the designated section.
Enter your Consumer Number and gas agency details, then click 'Submit'.

Helpline Numbers for Immediate Assistance
If you prefer not to use the online method, you can also contact the gas companies directly via their toll-free helpline numbers. Indane Gas: 1800-2333-555
HP Gas: 1800-2333-555
Bharat Gas: 1800-22-4344
The government has clarified that there is no shortage of LPG in the country. Adequate stock is available, and priority is being given to domestic requirements. Therefore, there is no need to panic in case of any difficulties encountered while booking gas. If you are unable to make a booking, you can register a complaint on the appropriate platform.
