UIDAI: The date for updating the Aadhaar card for free extended, now make changes till this day

According to the Aadhaar Update and Enroll Regulation 2016, identity proof and address should be updated every 10 years. The same rule applies to Blue Aadhar cards also. For children below 5 years of age, hair or blue forms the base.

Aadhaar Free Update: An Aadhaar card has become an important document to avail the benefits of government schemes in the country and as your identity card. Aadhar card contains your personal and biometric details. It is mandatory to update them every 10 years. If you have not updated your Aadhar card for the last several years, then you can update it for free now.

However, for making any change in the Aadhar card, a fee has to be paid. In which one has to pay a fee of Rs 50 to change one's address and mobile number. Similarly, for making other changes also you have to pay fees.

UIDAI free update date extended

Unique Identification Authority of India has extended the deadline for free updating of the Aadhaar card. Now Aadhar card holders will be able to update their Aadhar card without paying any fee till 14th June. After this, you will have to pay a fee for updating. To avoid any kind of duplication and fraudulent activities, users should keep updating their Aadhaar from time to time. In India, an Aadhaar card is almost mandatory for identification and to avail the benefits of government schemes.

Who should update Aadhaar?

Check where Aadhaar is being used, this way

First of all, go to https:// •uidai.gov.in/ and click on ‘Aadhaar Services’ visible under the My Aadhaar dropdown. Go to Authentication History in Aadhaar Services. Enter the Aadhaar number and captcha here. OTP will come on your number. After entering this, the authentication type will appear on the next page. Select All in this. This will provide a history of demographic and biometric authentication. Here you can select the date range and see the Aadhaar history of the last 6 months. You can see 50 Aadhaar authentications here. You can also download it in PDF. For this, write the first four letters of the name in capital and later write the birth year.
