Ahmedabad, India – Air travelers passing through Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International (SVPI) Airport in Ahmedabad can now enjoy affordable refreshments, thanks to the newly inaugurated UDAN Yatri Café. The initiative, launched by Union Civil Aviation Minister K. Ram Mohan Naidu, aims to provide budget-friendly food options to passengers.
Affordable Prices for Travelers
Located in the check-in hall of Terminal 1, the new café offers tea for just ₹10 and snacks starting at ₹20. This move is part of the government’s broader vision to enhance passenger convenience and ensure that food at airports remains reasonably priced and accessible.
Jeet Adani, Director of Adani Airport Holdings Limited, stated, “We are delighted to be the first privately managed airport in the country to provide affordable snacks and refreshments. This initiative aligns with the Central Government’s vision to make air travel more accessible and comfortable for passengers.”
A Step Toward Passenger-Friendly Airports
The launch of UDAN Yatri Café at Ahmedabad Airport marks an important milestone in improving cost-effective facilities at Indian airports. This initiative ensures that passengers are not overcharged for basic food and beverage services, making air travel a more pleasant experience.
