Let us tell you that UAN, i.e., Universal Account Number, is a 12-digit unique number issued by EPFO. It is the umbrella number of all your PF accounts. Every time you change your job, you get a new PF number, but the UAN remains the same, and all the member IDs get added under it.

How to delink the wrong PF number from UAN?
For this, first go to the EPFO Unified Member Portal.
After this, complete the login process by entering your UAN, password, and captcha.
Click on the sign-in button and enter the OTP after logging in.
After this, go to the View menu option.
From here, now click on the Service History sub-menu.
Here you will see all the member IDs.
Now, click on the Delink button in front of the ID you want to delink.
After this, you will get an alert message; press the OK button in it.
Now, the next screen will open. Select the Reason for Delinking option here.
After this, accept by ticking the box and clicking on Get OTP.
Now, an OTP will come on the mobile number linked to your Aadhaar. Enter the OTP and click on Submit.
After the verification is complete, you will see a Success Message.
After following all these steps, that wrong member ID will be removed from your service history.
