Bank Complaint: Is your bank ignoring your complaint or causing you unnecessary trouble? You don't need to stay silent anymore. With a simple process, you can take your concerns directly to the RBI and get a resolution.

Bank Complaint: In today's world, banking has become a major part of our daily lives. But with it come numerous problems. Sometimes, unwarranted charges are deducted, sometimes essential tasks are delayed for weeks. Visiting the branch only results in getting new dates and evasive answers. Many people get tired of complaining repeatedly and eventually give up.

But it's important to understand that the bank cannot take advantage of your helplessness. If the bank is not paying attention to your complaint or is charging you unfairly, you have another option. You can contact the Reserve Bank of India directly, without any agents or intermediaries, entirely from your home. Learn how.

RBI grants the right to complain

The RBI has created a CMS (Complaint Management System) for ordinary bank customers. This is an online platform where you can register a complaint related to any bank. The best part is that you don't need to visit the bank branch for this. If the bank has ignored your concerns, levied incorrect charges, been negligent in providing services, or failed to take action even after your complaint, then this portal is for you. The complaint registered here goes directly into the RBI's system, putting pressure on the bank to respond. This is why, in most cases, the complaint is resolved on time, and the customer gets relief.

How to file a complaint

Filing a complaint online is quite easy and doesn't take much time. First, go to the RBI's CMS portal and select the "File a Complaint" option. Then fill in the captcha and verify your identity with an OTP by entering your name and mobile number. Now select the bank's name and describe your problem clearly. You can also include a request for compensation. After filling in all the information, click on Review and Submit. Once your complaint is registered, you will receive a complaint number, which you can use to track its status. If you don't want to use the online method, you can also submit your complaint to the RBI through a written letter. In short, if a bank acts arbitrarily, use the proper channels and raise your voice for your rights.
