If you are planning to travel home for Dussehra, Diwali, or Chhath, this news is for you. Northern Railway is planning to operate several festival special trains. Here are the full details.

Trains become extremely crowded at the onset of the festive season, making it difficult for passengers to secure confirmed tickets for their journey home. If you are planning to travel home during the upcoming festive season, there is welcome news from the Railways. The demand for seats on trains traveling from Delhi to Uttar Pradesh and Bihar surges, especially during Dussehra, Diwali, and Chhath. Addressing this challenge faced by passengers, Northern Railway has planned to run several festival special trains. Significantly, these special trains will connect Delhi to major cities in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar.

Why does the demand for trains increase during festivals?

The number of passengers traveling from Delhi, Noida, and surrounding areas to UP and Bihar rises sharply during this period.
